Aching for Completion

Filed under: > Religious Verse, Poetry — Laura @ 12:00 am

I don’t know what this cancer is
Eating me up from the inside out
There is so much I want to share
But the hole in my heart keeps expanding
‘Til there’s nothing left to give
Nothing left of me
but the hollow inside

Why do I find it so hard to cling
To the Spirit who fills me up from the inside out?
I’m His child; there’s nothing He would not share
Making the whole of my heart keep expanding
‘Til He is all I have to give
Nothing left of me
but the Spirit inside
