The Search for a Place to Call Home #2

“Home is where the heart is.”
What happens if you’ve lost your heart?
What happens when you lose your heart
Searching for your home?
Will you find your heart
When you find your home?
Or can you never get it back?

What happens if you lose your mind
Searching for your heart and home,
A little place to call your own,
Just this side of yesterday?

I think I’ve surely lost my heart;
I think I must’ve lost my mind
Searching for my heart and home,
Knowing I will never find
A little place to call my own
This side of infinity.

Fruitless Search

The Search for a Place to Call Home #1

I keep running and running,
Dark into dark,
No single haven
From the loneliness,
From the fear.

I keep calling and calling,
Noise into noise,
No single answer
To the echoes,
To the years.

I keep crying and crying,
Doubt into doubt,
No single comfort
For the pain,
For the tears.
